Proboscis Monkeys (Kinabatangaan River) - Borneo
Sightings of the unique Proboscis Monkeys are common among the rainforest in the late afternoon. One may also catch a glimpse of a wild Orang Utan, leaf monkeys, gibbons, macaques or the newly discovered “Borneon Pgymy Elephants”. Though elephants and larger animals come and go-herd often break up to get through to plantations encroaching many areas.

Elephant Sanctuary Kuala Gandah, Pahang
Over the past 25 years the strong team has helped to prevent the further decline of the elephant population by relocating more than 300 wild elephants!

Kuala Gandah also aims to promote public awareness of the elephant's plight in Malaysia and to support research into elephant translocation and conservation. It also aims to educate the public about the importance of habitat and environmental preservation.

Fireflies at Kuala Selangor - Selangor
Firefly in Kuala Selangor is the only place in this region where you can witness the sight of millions of fireflies flashing in synchrony. You will be taken on a boat ride along the Selangor River where the fireflies inhibit around the branches of the “Berembang” trees along the riverbank. Here, up to thousands of fireflies may group together on a tree, beginning their display about one hour after sunset. A really bright display lasts for about two to three hours, continuing at lower levels until dawn.
